Late-Night Eats After a Match at the Linc

Food & DiningUpdated: June 2026• 25 min read

Lincoln Financial Field is located in the massive South Philadelphia Sports Complex, far away from the dense center of the city. Once you finally escape the gridlock of the parking lots, you will be starving. Finding high-quality food after midnight in Philly requires knowing exactly where to look.

The Cheesesteak Hubs: Pat's and Geno's

The Neon Intersection

We mentioned them before, but Pat's and Geno's are open 24/7. The intersection of 9th and Passyunk becomes an absolute madhouse after major sporting events. Expect massive lines, loud arguments over football, and incredibly fast service.

The Late Night Slice: Lorenzo and Sons

The South Street Monster

Lorenzo and Sons Pizza on South Street is legendary for serving absolutely massive, greasy, floppy slices of cheese pizza late into the night. It is cheap, the line moves fast, and you have to fold the slice in half just to hold it.

The Chinatown Option: David's Mai Lai Wah

Salt and Pepper Squid

Philadelphia's Chinatown is a fantastic late-night destination. David's Mai Lai Wah stays open very late and is a massive favorite among local chefs coming off their shifts. The Salt and Pepper Squid and roast pork noodle soup are incredible at 2:00 AM.

The Upscale Late Night: The Good King Tavern

French Bar Food

If you want something more refined than a massive greasy slice, The Good King Tavern offers fantastic French-inspired bar food late into the evening. It is dark, cozy, and they serve an incredible steak frites and fantastic cocktails.

The Warning

The Wawa Run

If all the restaurants are closed or the lines are too massive, you will inevitably end up at Wawa. It is a regional convenience store chain with a cult following. Order a massive 'Hoagie' from the touch screens. It is surprisingly good for gas station food.

World Cup 2026 Philadelphia Tips

Lincoln Financial Field is located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Unlike many other NFL stadiums, the Linc is highly accessible via public transit. You must take the SEPTA Broad Street Line (the orange line) south to NRG Station. It drops you off literally steps from the stadium. Do not attempt to drive or take an Uber to the stadium on matchday; the traffic on Broad Street and I-95 will be catastrophic.
