Where to Eat at Texas Live! Before a Match
If you are attending a match at AT&T Stadium, you will inevitably end up at Texas Live!. It is a massive, $250-million entertainment district located right between AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field. It features numerous restaurants, bars, a massive outdoor stage, and a 100-foot LED screen. It is the epicenter of the Arlington tailgating and pre-match experience.
No Forks Needed
Lockhart Smokehouse is the premier dining option inside Texas Live!. They bring the classic Central Texas BBQ style to Arlington. The meat is served on butcher paper, and famously, they do not provide forks (though they might if you beg). Order the massive beef clod or the jalapeño cheddar sausage.
Burgers and Music
Owned by Dallas Cowboys legend Troy Aikman, Troy's offers an elevated sports bar experience. The menu features excellent gourmet burgers, massive salads, and a fantastic outdoor patio. They frequently host live acoustic music, making it a slightly more relaxed environment than the central arena.
The Ultimate Watch Party
If you do not have a ticket to the match and want to watch it near the stadium, Sports & Social is the place. It features two levels of arcade games, bowling, and a massive 100-foot LED screen. The food is standard pub fare, but the atmosphere during a World Cup match will be unparalleled.
Award-Winning Tacos
Revolver Taco Lounge (which started in Deep Ellum) has an outpost in Texas Live!. They serve highly authentic, gourmet tacos on fresh, handmade corn tortillas. The al pastor and the wagyu carne asada tacos are absolutely fantastic and provide a lighter option than massive BBQ plates.
Cover Charges
During major events (like a World Cup match), Texas Live! will absolutely enforce a massive cover charge just to enter the building, and the security lines will be very long. Arrive hours before kickoff if you plan to eat or drink here.
World Cup 2026 Dallas Tips
The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is staggeringly massive. AT&T Stadium is located in Arlington, which sits directly between Dallas and Fort Worth. Arlington has zero public rail transportation. You will absolutely need to rent a car or rely heavily on expensive rideshares to get to the stadium. If you rely on Uber after a match, expect to wait over an hour in intense heat while surge pricing multiplies your fare.
