Quick Bites: The Best Fast Food Near the Stadium

Food & DiningUpdated: June 2026• 25 min read

Sometimes you do not have time for a two-hour sit-down meal. If you are rushing to AT&T Stadium from DFW airport, or need immediate calories after tailgating in the massive Arlington lots, you need fast food. Skip the generic global chains and focus on the regional Texas staples that locals fiercely defend.

The Texas Religion: Whataburger

The Orange and White A-Frame

You cannot visit Texas without eating at Whataburger. It is a cultural institution. Order the 'Patty Melt' (Texas toast, grilled onions, creamy pepper sauce) or the 'Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit' (served from 11 PM to 11 AM). Expect the drive-thru lines to be massive.

The Taco Chain: Taco Bueno

Better Than Bell

Taco Bueno is a regional Tex-Mex fast-food chain that locals fiercely prefer over Taco Bell. The ingredients feel slightly fresher, the salsa bar is surprisingly good, and their 'Muchaco' (a taco made with a soft pita-like shell) is a unique regional staple.

The Chicken Empire: Golden Chick

Fried Chicken and Rolls

Golden Chick is a Texas-based fried chicken chain. They serve fantastic, heavily battered fried chicken and massive, fluffy yeast rolls. It is cheap, highly caloric, and incredibly satisfying comfort food.

The Gas Station Stop: Buc-ee's

The Massive Beaver

If you are driving from Fort Worth to Dallas, you might pass a Buc-ee's. It is a staggeringly massive gas station (some have over 100 pumps). Inside, they serve fresh, hot brisket sandwiches, massive bags of 'Beaver Nuggets' (caramel-coated corn puffs), and homemade fudge. It is a bizarre, must-see Texas attraction.

Traffic Warning

Collins Street

The fast-food restaurants immediately surrounding AT&T Stadium (along Collins Street) will be absolute chaos on matchdays. The drive-thru lines will wrap around the buildings. Get your fast food several miles away from the stadium traffic zone.

World Cup 2026 Dallas Tips

The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is staggeringly massive. AT&T Stadium is located in Arlington, which sits directly between Dallas and Fort Worth. Arlington has zero public rail transportation. You will absolutely need to rent a car or rely heavily on expensive rideshares to get to the stadium. If you rely on Uber after a match, expect to wait over an hour in intense heat while surge pricing multiplies your fare.
