Fine Dining in Dallas: The Best Steakhouses
Dallas is a city of massive wealth, and the dining scene reflects that. The city boasts one of the highest concentrations of ultra-premium steakhouses in the country. If you want to put on a suit, spend a significant amount of money, and eat incredibly high-quality beef in a lavish environment, Dallas is the perfect city for it.
The Giant Carrot
Bob's (originally located on Lemmon Ave) is a Dallas institution. It features classic dark wood, stiff martinis, and massive prime steaks. They are famously known for serving every steak with an absolutely massive, single glazed carrot. It sounds strange, but it is delicious.
Uptown Elegance
Nick & Sam's in Uptown is where athletes, celebrities, and billionaires eat. The atmosphere is highly energetic, loud, and lavish. The menu features incredible selections of Japanese Wagyu, massive seafood towers, and a famous 'Cotton Candy' dessert service that arrives glowing with sparklers.
Dining in the Clouds
Located on the 49th floor of the National building downtown, Monarch offers the best views in the city. It is an incredibly expensive, highly designed Italian steakhouse. The service is flawless, the wood-fired steaks are fantastic, and the panoramic views of the Dallas skyline are breathtaking.
Impeccable Service
Al Biernat's (Oak Lawn location) is famous for offering arguably the best, most personal service in the city. Al himself often works the floor. The dining room is vibrant, the wine list is massive, and the prime ribeye is consistently ranked as one of the best in Texas.
Look the Part
Do not attempt to walk into these establishments wearing a football jersey, shorts, or sandals. These are highly premium environments that enforce strict dress codes. A collared shirt and jacket are highly recommended, if not required.
World Cup 2026 Dallas Tips
The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is staggeringly massive. AT&T Stadium is located in Arlington, which sits directly between Dallas and Fort Worth. Arlington has zero public rail transportation. You will absolutely need to rent a car or rely heavily on expensive rideshares to get to the stadium. If you rely on Uber after a match, expect to wait over an hour in intense heat while surge pricing multiplies your fare.
